Art Fight is an Internet-wide, month-long art competition that occurs every July. Two teams battle by creating art of other participants’ original characters and earning points for each piece. The team with the most points wins. You can learn more at Art Fight.
Our fan events are inspired by and largely based on Art Fight. It follows the basic principle but instead of original characters, people provide prompts related to the event theme. It is a low-stress event where we want participants to focus on creating and sharing art while enjoying being in a community of artists and fans alike.
We are not affiliated with the original Art Fight event in any capacity. We are not an official collaboration with any company or popular media. We are an independent group who happen to use popular media as themes for our fan events of Art Fight. We do not sell any products, accept donations, or make profit from our events. Any accounts participating in such activities are fake accounts.
Our only accounts are the following: Tumblr, Twitter, Instagram, Bluesky, Google (am.artfight@gmail.com
), Discord (amartfight), Discord server and this website.
Our events are highly dependent on the time and popular media. We never host during July to avoid overlapping with the original Art Fight. However, our Discord server is open all-year. You can join our Discord even if there isn't an event happening.
Currently, we do not have any future art fights planned.
You can sign-up for events when the participant sign-ups open. Refer to the timeline above if it exists. To ensure the safety of all participants, we require everyone joining to:
Upon signing up, you are asked to provide three prompts and a preferred team. As a participant, you choose other participants’ prompts and create art based on that prompt. Art can be anything you create–illustrations, multi-chapter stories, poems, sculptures, etc.–so long as you create it during the event, for the event. You receive points for each piece you create. The more effort you put into your piece, the more points you get. You have four weeks to earn points for your team. The team with the most points wins.
There are event rules you must follow, a blacklist you must observe, and guidelines to help you figure out what is allowed and what isn’t for our events. Your piece is also scored according to our scoring guidelines.
Upon signing up, you have the option to write down your accommodation requests. We will accommodate you as best as we can. For requests that require more detail or context, you may send us an inquiry at am.artfight@gmail.com
